  • John Palescandolo, Practice Owner


    Dr. John Palescandolo, DVM, graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1992. His younger days were spent as a commerical crab fisherman in Alaska, a rock climbing and mountain biking guide, and as a worker on a cattle and horse ranch in Colorado. He has been on the staff of Animal Emergency & Referral Associates in Fairfield for 20 years. Since he purchased Willowbrook Animal Clinic in 2000, he has shared his time between emergency medicine and day practice.

    Dr. John is a very compassionate veterinarian and skilled surgeon. He truly enjoys what he does. Outside of work, Dr. John enjoys spending time with his wife, four sons, one dog (Rocco), and two cats (Zucca and Nina). He is very passionate about sports and enjoys bicycling, rock climbing, and swimming. He is an avid reader of history books.

  • Maddalena Carnaghi Palescandolo, Office Manager

    Maddalena is originally from Busto Arsizio, Italy. She emigrated to the United States in 1999. After marrying Dr. John, Maddalena went on hiatus from the veterinary profession to raise their four beautiful boys. Now, she has re-emerged into the veterinary field as our Office Manager. She loves spending time with her family, reading, and baking. She has three pets:  Rocco, a beautiful Golden Retriever, and two cats, Zucca and Nina.

  • Loryn Gannon - Veterinary Technician

    Loryn started working with animals as a volunteer and foster mom for an animal rescue in 2010. Since then she has decided to to enter the veterinary field and is pursuing a certification as a Veterinary Technician. She has 2 rescue dogs of her own, Mama and Bessie and a rescue kitten named Grey. In her spare time she loves to read and hike.

  • Nicole Mahoney - Veterinary Technician

    Nicole received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Ramapo College of New Jersey in 2017. She has always been surrounded by animals while growing up ranging from dogs, rabbits, ducks and even chickens! She currently has three Labrador Retrievers that she adores. As well as caring for her dogs she also breeds them. Nicole works at Willowbrook Animal Clinic as a Veterinary Technician in hopes to going to Veterinary School. She is currently in the process of applying to school and we couldn't be more excited for her!

  • Tracey Weeks - Veterinary Technician

    Tracey was born and raised in New Jersey, and has been in the Veterinary field for over 20 years. She is one of our awesome Veterinary Techs at the Clinic. She has been married for 4 years and is a mother of 4 amazing children. Some of her hobbies include cooking new things, reading and studying different cultures & religions. One of her goals for the future is to continue her education in Veterinary Medicine.

  • Beth Bronfman - Receptionist

    Beth is an animal lover and has a sweet Shih Tzu of her own named Dudley. She is a licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor and has been working in the fields of Addiction and Behavioral Health for over 25 years. Beth loves to travel to new cities and new countries. (Her top recommendation is Portugal, she loved it!) In her free time you can find her reading a good book or watching her son play basketball.

    Mary's main goal at the Clinic is to provide the best care to our clients and their pets in the most compelling and compassionate way possible. Mary has been Vegan for over 10 years because of her love for animals, and she  participates in animal activist marches and protests in NYC. Her favorite things to do include spending time with her daughter, bike riding, reading, and watching old movies.

Allison and her fiance have a cat and two birds, a conure and a cockatiel! In her free time she likes to relax, hike and go boating in the nice weather.
